In his second appearance at this year’s Prague Spring, Radu Lupu played Schumann’s Piano Concerto. Though utterly professional, his performance still seemed relaxed. The audience demanded an encore and was rewarded with Schumann's Phantasie Stücke op. 12 „Des Abends“. In the second half of the evening’s performance, it was hardly a surprise that the audience responded enthusiastically to an old favourite by Richard Strauss, Thus Spake Zarathustra, performed by the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Cristian Mandeal.
