Jiří Bělohlávek is returning to the chamber orchestra he founded, the Prague Philharmonia, with an exciting programme of music by composers with anniversaries this year. The star of the evening will be mezzo-soprano Dagmar Pecková. Besides Martinů’s vocal cycle Niponari, she will perform a selection of songs by the French composer Joseph Canteloube, little known in this country.
