  • Anoushka Shankar (sitar)
  • Tanmoy Bose (percussion instrument)
  • Ravichandra Kulur (flute, kanjira)
  • Pirashanna Thevarajah (mridangam)
  • Nick Able (tanpura)

Anoushka Shankar, the daughter of the living legend of classical Indian music, Ravi Shankar (a sitar virtuoso, who performed at the Prague Spring Festival fifty years ago and together with Anoushka's sister, the singer Norah Jones, and Sting, was a guest musician on her last album, Breathing Under Water), is returning to the Festival stage for the first time in five years, now with a stellar international ensemble, the Anoushka Shankar Project.

In addition to Anoushka's sitar, we'll be hearing the Indian musicians Tonmoy Bose on the tabla and Ravichandra Kulur on flutes and the khanjira (a kind of tambourine), together with a British player of the tanpura (a traditional Indian lute), Nick Able, and two Americans, Leo Dombecki on piano and Barry Phillips on cello.
